About a third of all food produced for consumption is lost or wasted on its way from farm to the container. This is also representing a major problem because food waste contributes to greenhouse gas emissions.
At Cítricos La Paz, we have a responsibility to our planet, our production, our local communities
and our customers when it comes to reducing food waste. We are committed to developing new ways of managing our fruit in our operations and supply chains.
Taking this into account, we allocate 80% of our fruit to packaging and 18% to industry, thus generating only 2% wasted food.
